Former dancer Karolyne Ashley has transitioned over to fashion design. A native of Nashville, Tenn., she got her inspiration there, where there was plenty of stage production and dance. Now, she will be showing at Fashion Week with a new collection called “Muted Oasis.” She sits down with ro and draws out tips for inspiring designers, what sparked her interest in fashion and for whom she would love to design. –tammie reed.

GAINESVILLE, Ga. — More than 27 percent of Georgia children don’t know where their next meal is coming from, according to the Georgia Food Bank Association.
That’s a number the association and local groups are determined to bring down.

More than 30 individuals met in Gainesville Wednesday morning with one goal in mind: Tackling childhood hunger.
"We know that kids are hungry in our community. We know that children, more often than not, the meal they get in your program or at school is the only meal they get," said Karen Davis, campaign director for No Kid Hungry. "In America, that should not be happening."
No Kid Hungry is a statewide movement to unite different groups who have feeding programs with the resources and funding they need to expand.

provide more meals to children through the

state reimbursement programs.
